150415-N-IY633-016 ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 15, 2015) – Yeoman 3rd Class Aaron Curry prepares to chock and chain a landing helicopter aboard Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) flagship USS Vicksburg (CG 69). Vicksburg is currently operating in the Atlantic participating in Joint Warrior, Europe’s largest multinational multi-warfare exercise. Three of NATO’s Standing Naval Forces, Standing NATO Maritime Group 2, and Standing NATO Maritime Mine Counter Measures Groups 1 and 2 are participating in Joint Warrior with 55 warships and submarines, and 70 air assets from Allied countries. In total, the exercise involves approximately 14,000 personnel training and operating together to develop specific war fighting skills through diverse training and credible scenario development.
