The 1 Hospital Support Battalion medical facility here is a state-of-the-art facility, incorporating the latest in medical technology and boasting more than 170 Australian and U.S. medical personnel. The facility will be supporting troops participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 2009, a biennial combined training activity designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined task force operations, which will help improve ADF/US combat readiness and inter-operability.
