150416-N-UL721-074 SAN DIEGO (April 16, 2015) Vice Adm. Kenny Floyd, commander, U.S. Navy 3rd Fleet addresses the media after the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Boutwell (WHEC 719) pulled into Naval Base San Diego with more than 28,000 pounds of cocaine worth over $424 million seized in 19 separate interdictions. U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy ships have seized more cocaine in the last six months than in all of fiscal year 2014. Joint, interagency and international relationships strengthen U.S. Third Fleet’s ability to respond to crises and protect the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners.
