Staff Sgt. Ian Roth, a member of the 106th Rescue Wing Security Forces Squadron responds to incoming fire during semi-annual "force on force" training at Camp Smith April 12, 2015. The incoming shots (all paint-filled sim rounds) were fired by other SFS members posing as opposing forces. During the two-day long training event, security forces airmen secured "enemy" held buildings, retrieved injured allied personnel, provided first aid to the wounded and worked with pararescue jumpers from the 103rd Rescue Squadron to evacuate them to a pair of inbound HH-60 Pavehawk helicopters. (New York Air National Guard / Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Muncy / released)
