A Tomb Sentinel of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, 4th Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), begins his guard shift as Arlington National Cemetery opens to the public, April 8, 2015. The Sentinels of the Tomb have the noble duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknowns which honors Soldiers from World War I, World War II, Korean, and the Vietnam wars who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their life and identity.
