Colorado National Guard crews from 2nd Battalion, 135th General Support Aviation train for fire suppression using Bambi Buckets during a field exercise at Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colo., April 11, 2015. After crew chiefs attach the Bambi Bucket to the UH-60 helicopter, the pilot navigates to a dip site, like Chatfield Reservoir, where the bucket is filled then moves to a drop, the mock fire line to empty the bucket. All of these tasks are critical in fire suppression. CONG trains alongside local, state and federal agencies and ensures the the National Guard is always ready, always there.
