The Soldiers of the Presidential Salute Battery, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) end this firing demonstration with three rounds fired simultaneously. This training event served the purpose of ensuring that the cannon crew teams are proficient in their tasks, whether rendering final honors for the fallen or rendering honors to visiting foreign dignitaries and heads of state at the White House, the Pentagon and elsewhere in the Washington area.
