Standing at the opposite ends of Quay Street, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, the Australian Army Band and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band electrified the crowd by performing renditions of their respective nation's national anthem during the city's Open Day celebration, which welcomed visiting U.S. armed forces participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 2009. As part of the celebration, each band performed a set of songs on stage for the approximately 4,000 Rockhampton residents who attended. TS09 is a major undertaking which reflects the closeness of our alliance and the strength of the military-military relationship.
