The four were able to meet during the English Networking Dinner March 27 at Hangar 546 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. Holland, a local business owner, started the dinners in September 2013. These events are planned as a way for Okinawa business owners to make connections with both American business owners and service members stationed in Okinawa. The dinners now average around 100 guests per event. Yaginuma and Shirado are professional soccer players who play for the Ryukyu Deigos Football Club. Taylor is the spa and fitness manager at a local hotel.
