Army Staff Sgt. Marshall Peterson of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 725th Brigade Support Battalion cuts a piece of cardboard padding to place on the supply pallet. This padding is designed to absorb some of the impact that will be encountered from landing. These pallets are rigged with parachutes to cut some of the impact speed, but there is still enough to damage the contents if not packed properly.
