U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Monica Martinez, Walter Reed Warrior Transition Battalion, Bethesda, Md., receives encouragement from head Cycling Coach Joe Hydrick at the starting line of the 2015 Army Trials at Fort Bliss, Texas. She cycled 10 kilometers to finish first. Approximately 80 wounded, ill or injured Soldiers and veterans are at Fort Bliss to train and compete in a series of athletic events including archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field and wheelchair basketball. Army Trials, March 29 - April 2, are conducted by the Army Transition Command and hosted by Fort Bliss.
