Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ernesto Hernandez, the former Combat Center Personnel Officer here, was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal by Brig. Gen. Charles M. Gurganus, the Combat Center's commanding general, at a ceremony near the commanding general's flag pole Wednesday. A Meritorious Service Medal and Bronze Star Medal were also presented to Lt. Col. James G. Jonston, the reserve liaison officer here.
