Brig. Gen. Steven R. Rudder speaks during the relief and appointment ceremony for the sergeant major of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing March 27 at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Sgt. Maj. Mario A. Marquez took over for Sgt. Maj. Trevor V. Jackson, who has served as the 1st MAW sergeant major for more than two and a half years. Marquez has previously served with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, Marine Aircraft Group 36, and most recently, Marine Forces Central Command Forward, Bahrain.
