150317-N-VY489-075 RIJEKA, Croatia (March 17, 2015) Information Systems Technician 1st Class Aaron Hunter, assigned to the U.S. 6th Fleet command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC20) applies a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of the Karasova Ulica Kindergarten School in Rijeka, Croatia, during a community relations project March 17, 2015. The USS Mount Whitney, forward deployed to Gaeta, Italy, is scheduled to be in dry dock until mid-summer. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
