150315-N-AD372-028 BUSAN, Republic of Korea (March 14, 2015) Admiral Choi, Yoon-hee, chairman of the Republic of Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff receives a briefing on operational capabilities from Cmdr. Matthew Kawas, commanding officer of the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3), as part of a scheduled tour during a port visit for exercise Foal Eagle 2015. Foal Eagle is a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability. Fort Worth is on a 16-month rotational deployment in support of the U.S. Navy's strategic rebalance and is operating as part of the U.S. 7th Fleet across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
