Students listen as Marine volunteers introduce themselves to the class during the ‘Play in English Program’ March 18 at Suginoko Preschool in Kin Town, Okinawa. Taka Kayo, the community relations specialist, played his guitar for the children and Marines sang/dance to “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” The children also learned how to say how they feel in English. The Marines volunteer for the preschool every month to help expand their English vocabulary, as well as become one with the local community. The program ended with play time with the volunteers and students were presented with a certificate of completion of the program. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Rebecca Elmy/Released)
