Sailors aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Vicksburg (CG 69) render honors to Master Chief Jeffrey J. Garber as the ship pulls along side the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). The hoisted flags spell out "Fair Winds Master Chief Garber." Garber, Carrier Air Wing 7 command master chief, died June 20 of apparent natural causes while deployed aboard Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was 43. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom as well as maritime security operations.
