The color guard leads the front of the Marine formation with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Boston at South Boston’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade March 15, 2015. The detachment of Marines served as representatives of the U.S. Marine Corps in the military and marching portion of the parade. During the visit to Boston, Marines offered the public an opportunity to learn about the commonly used weapons systems and vehicles aboard the USS Arlington and will also have the chance to volunteer at the Boston Food Bank and Cradles to Crayons.
