150312-N-NT265-940 EAST CHINA SEA (March 12, 2015) – Marines, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), board amphibious assault vehicles in the well deck of the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently conducting an Amphibious Integration Training (AIT) exercise.
