Sgt. Ernesto Hanson, squad leader, 20th Engineer Brigade, is testing his proficiency on how to read a map overlay during the XVIII Airborne Corps Soldier and Non-commissioned Officer of the Year competition at Fort Bragg, N.C., April 14-17. Hanson, who has been an NCO for a year, makes sure that his Soldiers are taken care of and that they do the right thing. "It's a good feeling to see improvement in my young Soldiers and watching them become leaders."
