Col. Sean M. McBride, right, presents a certificate of commendation March 12 at Camp Hansen to Satoshi Yamada, the Ishikawa chief of police, for his actions on duty. Yamada is retiring as the police chief after two years. Yamada worked with III Marine Expeditionary Force by helping with disaster relief, anti-terrorism and evacuation drills, the drunken driving campaign and spoke at the welcome aboard seminars for Marines on the Unit Deployment Program.
