    Takayuki Kayo, front right, reads a certificate of commendation for Satoshi Yamada March 12 at Camp Hansen. The Marine Corps awarded Yamada for his actions as the Ishikawa chief of police. Yamada is retiring as the police chief after two years. Yamada worked with the III Marine Expeditionary Force by helping with disaster relief, anti-terrorism and evacuation drills, the drunken driving campaign and spoke at the welcome aboard seminars for Marines on the Unit Deployment Program.
