150311-N-RU971-071 EAST CHINA SEA (March 11, 2015) – The Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) participate in a replenishment at sea (RAS) with fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197). Bonhomme Richard and Ashland are a part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), are currently conducting an Amphibious Integration Training (AIT) exercise.
