(Feb. 28, 2015) - Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Joel Brackett, of Lumberton, N.C. assigned to USS Bremerton (SSN 698), removes shrubbery with his boat in a joint effort with the Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council of the U.S. Navy League and Kitsap County to beautify Fischer Park in East Bremerton, Feb 28. The Sailors were estimated to have cleared more than two tons of debris and shrubbery at the park and laid approximately 140 feet of bed work as a part of continuing efforts to strengthen it’s rapport with the community since being jointly adopted by the City of Bremerton and the Navy League Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council in 2011.
