(Feb. 28, 2015) -- Command Master Chief Wade Tandberg, a native of Renton, Wash., and USS Bremerton’s (SSN 698) chief of the Boat, removes shrubbery with his Sailors in a joint effort with the Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council of the U.S. Navy League and Kitsap County into beautify Fischer Park in East Bremerton, Feb 28. The Sailors were estimated to have cleared more than two tons of debris and shrubbery at the park and laid approximately 140 feet of bed work as a part of continuing efforts to strengthen it’s rapport with the community since being jointly adopted by the City of Bremerton and the Navy League Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula Council in 2011.
