Soldiers who complete operator training on the Common Remotely Operated Weapons Station receive a handbook, disc and laminated cards with information on mounting and using the equipment. They also have reach back capability to the trainers located at strategic locations. CROWS has a sensor suite and fire control software and it can be mounted on more than 20 platforms and accommodate four different weapons. CROWS equipped units can acquire and engage targets while protected inside an armored vehicle.
