150220-N-KB426-094 ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 20, 2015) Sailors use a thermal imaging camera (TIC) to find ‘hotspots” during a general quarters drill aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson is deployed as part of the Carl Vinson Strike Group supporting maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
