Lance Cpl. Bradley W. Walsh communicates with the rest of his convoy over the radio to maintain standard operating procedures Feb. 12 at Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, during Integrated Training Exercise 2-15. During the battalion assault courses the jump team moved the command element’s commanding officer to a landing zone to be picked up by a UH-1Y Venom helicopter. The commanding officer was then able to command the fight from the sky. ITX 2-15 is designed to integrate combined arms and improve warfighting capabilities. Walsh, an rifleman, and Granville, Ohio, native, is the assistant convoy commander for the jump team with Headquarters Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
