Regis Giard, a French native and historian of the 79th Infantry Division, presents the history of the 79th ID for the Soldiers and civilians of the 79th Sustainment Support Command at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, Calif., Feb. 20, 2015. Giard, who grew up in a home located in the middle of the Normandy Battlefields, has researched U.S. troops that were engaged in the area during the summer of 1944.
