Royal Thai Air Force Lt. Jantorn Prapart and U.S. Marine Maj. Andy S. Nix enjoy a barbeque hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Fred J. Estes Post 9876, Pattaya, Thailand, for service members participating in Cobra Gold 2015, Feb. 16. The VFW provides camaraderie to veterans and active-duty military service members in the states and overseas by ensuring they receive respect and recognition for their service and sacrifices. Prapart is from Korat, Thailand with the 102 Fighter Squadron, Wing 1. Nix is from Fairfax, Virginia, and the exercise operations officer for Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Cobra Gold is a Thailand /United States, co-sponsored multinational and joint theater security cooperation exercise, conducted annually in the Kingdom of Thailand, with 25 nations participating this year.
