In the shadows of the C-130 Hercules flight deck, Major Mike Wilson (left), Senior Master Sgt. Ernie Leyba, and Capt. Tim Pemberton, bank the cargo aircraft to the left and right as they neared the end of thier new year's eve flight from Southwest Asia, and landed new year's day at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The most precious of their 13,000 pound cargo load was a pallet of human blood. They and the rest of the U. S. Air Force reserve crew are from the 731 Airlift Squadron at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, and deployed to the 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron. Flying as a team since their deployment around Thanksgiving Day, 2005, this is thier last flight together, due to duty rotation and redeployment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Lance Cheung)
