150114-N-XG464-023 - GULF OF OMAN (Feb. 14, 2015) - Chief Boatswain's Mate Dewey Mckoy, a Goldsboro, N.C., native stationed aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), uses a stadimeter to measure the ship's distance from USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) in preparation for an underway replenishment at sea Feb. 14, 2015. New York is a part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
