Sgt. 1st Class Alyn MacLeod, 222nd Broadcast Operations Detachment first sergeant, hoses down his Soldiers as they perform pushups Feb. 7, 2015, at Fort Irwin, Calif. The Soldiers would soon conduct drown-proofing training, and Fort Irwin’s water safety instructor, Axel Rivera, required that the Soldiers enter the pool with their uniforms already wet. The training helps Soldiers survive during open water emergencies until rescue arrives. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. David L. Nye, 204th PAD)
