U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Kyle Kindig climbs into the bucket of a deicing truck boom Feb. 3 at Offutt Air Force Base Neb. The equipment is used to blow accumulated snow off of aircraft and to spray a deicing fluid as part of preparations for an aircraft takeoff during colder weather. Additional maintenance time is typically needed during winter operations to heat the aircraft and to remove snow and ice. Kindig is a guidance and control maintenance technician assigned to the 83rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 55 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo by Delanie Stafford/Released)
