150209-N-KB426-146 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Feb. 9, 2015) Sailors man the phone-and-distance (P&D) line on the forecastle of guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) during a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193). Dewey is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations, and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
