    Task Force Iron Knights' final Chinook flight in Liberia

    Chief Warrant Officer 3 Landon Dykes, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter pilot for Task Force Iron Knights, 2nd Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, straps on his helmet before piloting the last Chinook to fly in Liberia in support of Operation United Assistance, at Roberts International Airport, located outside Monrovia, Liberia, Feb. 9, 2015. Dykes was headed to the Port of Buchanan where his aircraft is slated to be cleaned, broken down and loaded on a shipping vessel for transport back to its home station at Fort Bliss, Texas. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, medical training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
