Staff Sgt. Christopher Walton, 386th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, removes the rain gauge from the Tactical Meteorological Observing System-53 during a weekly cleaning at an air base in Southwest Asia, May 26. Due to the environmental conditions including sand, wind, and dust, the TMQ-53 must be inspected and cleaned weekly to ensure accurate rain fall totals. Sergeant Walton is currently deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and is originally from Atlanta.
