Paratroopers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, provide security during a noncombatant evacuation operation as part of the Brigade’s Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Jan. 28, 2015. Serving as the nucleus of the nation’s Global Response Force, the brigade routinely participates in EDREs to assess their ability to deploy lead elements of the GRF within 18 hours in response to national and international crises.
