Capt. Elvis Oyola, an Airman with the 435th Contingency Response Group and a native of Bronx, N.Y., competes in the “Battle of the DJ’s” finale Feb. 1 at the Kazabra Club. The event, which was sponsored by U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Morale, Welfare and Recreation, pitted the winners of three earlier knock-out rounds that took place at the Armstrong’s Club in January. Going by the name of “DJ Ego,” Oyola had 15 minutes to show off his DJ skills before a 3-judge MWR panel. For his efforts, Oyola won the event’s top trophy and a $500 cash prize.
