U.S. Army Soldier of the Year, Sgt. David Obray, 492nd Engineer Company, 416th Engineer Command, receives a pillow with the American Flag sewn on it from the "Patriotic Pillow Project," founder and coordinator, Christina Finn. Next to Obray is Dirk Beveridge, "We Do Care," who watched the couple hug Obray very emotionally after they presented him with the pillow. The couple lost a son in Iraq and wanted to thank Obray for his service and sacrifice in protecting our country and their families. Obray, Beveridge and the couple were at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, for a live Webcast to Afghanistan, with the senior leadership and families of the Illinois Army National Guard. The Web cast was hosted by WDC and U.S. Cellular. After the Webcast, the CWS hosted the families at their "Family Field Day."
