Three of the four AH-1W Super Cobras were deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 167, February through April 2009. HMLA 167, currently based out of Camp Al Taqaddum, Iraq, sent a detachment of Marines to support missions in Afghanistan.
