Sgt. Joshua Newman cleans a CH-53E Super Stallion after conducting Phase A maintenance, the lowest level of helicopter maintenance, Dec. 12, on Kandahar Air Field. Without maintainers, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan's air combat element would be hard pressed to accomplish its mission. Newman is a CH-53E crew chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466.
