Staff Sgt. William Pierce, a bassist with Marine Band San Diego and an Owensboro, Ky., native, performs at Point Loma High School in San Diego Jan. 27 during a week-long tour of high schools throughout Marine Corps Recruiting Station San Diego’s area of operation. Pierce performed on both the upright and electric bass during the two-hour performance.
