The Battle of the Bulge (Dec. 16, 1944 – Jan. 25, 1945) was a major German offensive campaign launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Walloon in Belgium, France and Luxembourg on the Western Front toward the end of World War II in Europe. Each year a number of the remaining veterans, their families and representatives from the Embassy of Belgium gather at the Battle of the Bulge Memorial on Arlington National Cemetery to pay tribute to all those who sacrificed during the campaign.
