Maj. Charles D. Cooley, a C-17 Globemaster III pilot assigned to the 816th Airlift Squadron, flies over Islamabad, Pakistan, May 21. The aircraft delivered 120,000 prepackaged Halal meals and tents for use by internally displaced persons created by fighting against radical Islamic insurgents in the northwestern region of the country. The supplies were the first of $10 million in aid scheduled to be provided by the U.S. Department of Defense, in addition to a commitment of over $100 million in aid by the U.S. government.
