    Spc. John Melton, center, native of Splendora, Texas, and technical engineer for the Technical Head Section, 36th Engineer Brigade, holds a survey rod while other technical engineer Soldiers from the 63rd Survey Detachment, record and interpret his readings and measurements. Joint Forces Command-United Assistance engineers and heavy equipment operators began working on smoothing the dirt road leading to Camp Buchanan, so that vehicles and heavy equipment can be transported to and from the camp during redeployment. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
