Col. John Wagner, 460th Space Wing commander, stands with community leaders at the State of the Base address Jan. 21, 2015, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Aurora, Colo. This year’s event included things that had never been done in the past, to include an interactive audience demonstration depicting the complexity of infrared missile detection, as well as a surprise visit from the base’s mascot, Buck Lee. The speech emphasized the base’s affiliation with mission partners, outlined the current and upcoming events for Team Buckley and displayed the base’s economic impact on the community.
