Artillerymen of the British army’s 7th Parachute Royal Horse Artillery fire an L118 light gun during Operation Pegasus Cypher on Fort Bragg, N.C., Jan. 12, 2015. The 7th PARA teamed up with the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment for the operation to develop combined tactics, techniques and procedures in preparation for a Combined Joint Operational Access Exercise in April, which will include elements of the British army’s 16th Air Assault Brigade. The CJOAX will be a milestone for the Division’s multinational partnership program with allied crisis response forces by functionally integrating a U.K. battalion into a U.S. brigade.
