Prior to the start of a half marathon race starting and ending at Joshua Soto physical fitnes center, Jan 10, more than 300 competitors stretched and warmed up in anticipation of the 13 mile road race. The annual race took place in sub-freezing temperatuers this year. To keep spectators and racers warm, the Morale, Welfare and Recreation department on Fort Bliss provided outdoor warming stands which kept the the air around them a balmy 60 degrees.
