A Georgian soldier pauses to provide security during a patrol in a remote training area near the border of Azberjan as they prepare for another deployment in support of the global war on terror. The Georgia Deployment Program took shape in late 2009 as the United States Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines teamed up to better prepare Georgian troops prior to deploying into Afghanistan. Georgia is a country located west of The Black Sea and shares more than 350 miles of border with Russia to their north.
